Thoughts/Notes on the Power Rankings:
It was certainly a crazy week 6 as you had seven or the top ten losing. The Chiefs, Packers, Broncos, Falcons, Panthers, Lions and Raiders all lost. The Packers suffered the biggest because they lost their star and franchise Quarterback, Aaron Rodgers to a broken right collarbone and will likely miss the rest of the regular season. If the Packers make the playoffs then maybe he could come back.
With these losses that the top teams suffered there's a bit of a shake up to the top ten. The Philadelphia Eagles have moved into the number one position as they're playing the best football right now. The Kansas City Chiefs still are in the top three and only move down to number two and the New Orleans Saints jump all the way (biggest jump/raise of the week) into the top three at number three. The Seahawks even though they were on a bye move to number four simply because of the losses and performances of the other teams that were in the top ten. I don't usually like to move a team that had a bye week up or down in the rankings but this was such a different week I felt like I had to. The New England Patriots even though they played like crap against the New York Jets, they round out the top five.
The Pittsburgh Steelers move back into the top ten at number six after their huge road win against the Kansas City Chiefs which was the Chiefs first loss of the season. The Los Angeles Rams, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons round out the top ten. The Green Bay Packers fell to number 14 the biggest fall of the week, the reason being is they lost their star QB, Aaron Rodgers and without him they're the same team not even close. They also lost the game to the Minnesota Vikings.
The bottom five it's a bit different as the New York Jets are now in the bottom five at number 28 like they're suppose to. They're a bottom five team plan and simple. The rest of the bottom five: the Chicago Bears (29), the Indianapolis Colts (30), the San Francisco 49ers (31) and the Cleveland Browns (32).
