Philadelphia Phillies: Rhys Hoskins To Make His Long-Awaited MLB Debut Tonight!

Tonight, First Baseman, Rhys Hoskins will be making his long-awaited MLB debut tonight versus the New York Mets. Hoskins will be playing Left-Field and batting seventh. Phillies fans like myself have been waiting for Hoskins to finally be called up and playing in a Phillies uniform. He has been smashing the ball the last two seasons in the minor leagues (Double and Triple A Ball), he hit 38 Home-runs and drove in 116 runs last season both were second in the Eastern league behind his Reading teammate Dylan Cozens who hit 40 HRs. This season he was leading the International League (Triple A) in Home-Runs (29) and RBIs (91) playing in 115 games before the call up today. He was batting .284 BA/.385 OBP/.581 SLG/64 Walks/75 Ks.

The Phillies are playing him in LF because they want to see if he can hit Major League hitting and what better way to see if he can then against one of the best young arms in the game today in Jacob deGrom. This kid can smash the ball and it will be fun to see him hit major league pitching for the very first time. He is no question the future first baseman of the Phillies (Knock On Wood), it's just a matter of if he's ready and I believe and so do many others that he is ready and has been for a while. He has nothing else to prove in Triple A other than continuing smashing the ball out of the ball park. I believe he should of been called up in Mid June but it is what it is now he's up now and ready to prove he truly belongs up in the Majors.

GOOD LUCK HOSKINS AND WELCOME TO THE SHOW FINALLY!

Thanks For Reading!

Let's Go Phillies!
