NBA Thursday : Houston Rockets take on the Golden State Warriors - Prediction

Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

After tonight's game, Harden will be left wondering what went wrong

This is going to be short and direct to the point. The Rockets won't stand a chance against the Warriors.  I know many nba analysts will disagree, and they are experts in their field. But i am not an expert, hence my analysis can go wrong. I do not dabble much in stats, even though numbers mean a lot in dissecting previous games of two teams set to slug it out. It paints a picture of the possible or rather the most probable outcome of a ballgame. Which player is gonna have a hell of a game? Which team has an edge in rebounding? Which coach is smarter and which one is just plain smart? Which team is better playing at home and which one is a road warrior? And so on. In short i am a mere fan, but i have been an NBA junkie long enough to have some sort of basic knowledge as to the sport's and the league's ins and outs. There are times i nail correctly which trades are going to materialize before the trade deadline,  or if a lower seeded team will come out on top of a best of seven series. They are based on pure hunch. On gut feel. And so with this game at the Oracle Arena set to start in about half an hour, i say this belongs to Golden State. I did not find it hard to come to this conclusion , not only because the Warriors are the better team, they're the Superteam of the NBA, but more so because of the fact that i really do not take the Rocjets seriously.  The Dubs will smash James Harden and all of coach Mike D'Antoni's strategies coming into the game. Houston will appear to have a chance in the early goings, but after Durant and Steph Curry find their rhythm , this game will be over even before the final buzzer. That's what Superteams do. They manhandle their opponents to send a message loud and clear, that they own the league and all the other teams are mere supporting cast to their championship ride.

But if the Rockets , by some minor miracle manage to slay the myth that is the Golden State Warriors  super team and make me look real dumb and stupid with my prediction. Well that's fine with me.  I hate super teams anyway.
