The Rundown: Cavs' struggles continue, Heat stun Warriors and Westbrook stuns the Jazz

Cavs lose to Pels: The Cleveland Cavaliers continued their dreadful 2017 with possibly the most absurd loss to date; dropping a game to the Anthony Davis-less New Orleans Pelicans. The Cavs have lost five of their last seven, and LeBron James was not hesitant to voice his frustrations: "It’s like when you don’t have bodies. It’s tough … The (expletive) grind of the regular season. We’re a top-heavy team. We have a top-heavy team. We top-heavy as (expletive). It’s me, [Kyrie Irving], [Kevin Love]. It’s top-heavy. I’m not singling out anybody … I’m not. Yeah, we won [the championship], but (expletive), you know what, let’s see if we can do something. We need a (expletive) playmaker … I’m not saying you can just go find one, like you can go outside and see trees. I didn’t say that.”

LeBron is obviously not satisfied with the Cavs' bench. How did the Golden State Warriors do this offseason? They went out and got the second best player on the planet in Kevin Durant. What has David Griffin and the Cavaliers managed to do? Get Kyle Korver... Seems a little one-sided right? But as far as I'm concerned, this is what the "King" asked for. He put this roster together. He is the one who insists on having guys like James Jones on this roster, rather than a player who can make a difference. But in Cleveland, the King gets what he wants.

Heat stun Warriors: The Warriors have been feeling themselves lately, winning 11 of the last 12 before last night, coming up with HUGE (my best Trump impression) wins against Cleveland and Houston. And how could they possibly lose to a Miami Heat squad who has lost three in a row on four separate occasions this season. Kevin Durant's 27 points and Stephen Curry's 21 points and 10 rebounds weren't enough to stop...... Dion Waiters? Waiters scored 33 points for the second consecutive game and shot 6 of 8 from deep including the game winner.

Waiters didn't have the only game-winner of the night though.

Westbrook at it again: Russell Westbrook continues to carry the extremely heavy load that is the Oklahoma City Thunder on his back, as they walked away with a 97-95 win against the Utah Jazz last night. Westbrook nailed the game-winning shot with less than a second left on the clock, following a Gordon Hayward shot that tied the game at 95. Russ finished the game with 38 points, 10 boards and 10 assists, which tied him with Larry Bird on the all-time triple doubles list at 59 - 22 of those coming this season.

Melo/Knicks hold off Pacers: The New York Knicks have not been good. Like, at all. But they did manage to actually win a close game last night against the Indiana Pacers, which was just their fourth win in their last 17 games. And some more good news for the Knicks: Carmelo Anthony looks like he likes to play basketball again. Another big game for the former scoring champ, as he dropped 26 and played some clutch offense that propelled the Knicks over the Pacers, despite a late comeback and a big game from Paul George (31 points). The Knicks are only 2 1/2 games out of the eighth seed in the East.

Don't let this win make you think that the Knicks didn't have a moment that, well, only the Knicks could have.

Where can I sign up to make $72 million to shoot free throws like that?
