Points on Points on... Well, You Get the Point(s)

?It's not often that the Chiefs offense dominates. As fans, we don't typically see this Alex Smith led offense score more than 30 points. However, if you have been waiting for some big points, this is the week for you.

The Chiefs will face the Steelers  this week on Sunday night football as all of America watches. The last time the Chiefs were on the road in a prime time game, the Packers dismantled them. While Pittsburgh's home field advantage isn't as strong as the crowd in Lambough, this will be no easy task for the Chiefs.

The Steelers are an explosive team that has super bowl aspirations. With a fresh Levion Bell (who has now fulfilled his suspension), and the leagues best wide receiver in Antonio Brown, the steelers are a nightmare to game plan for as a defense. As on offense, however, game planning isn't nearly as difficult.

The Steelers defense is as vulnerable as it has ever been. Through the first three weeks of the season, they have amounted only one sack as a defense. This sack came on a play where Andy Dalton held the ball for nearly 8 seconds before being tracked down for only a one yard loss. With an obvious lack of a pass rush, Alex Smith should have no trouble getting comfortable in the pocket. This is where the fun stuff happens...

The Steelers secondary features a rookie corner, Artie Burns, and the often exploited William Gay. William Gay is second on the steelers defense in tackles (but that isn't something to brag about when you play corner). The bottom line is that these guys can't cover Jeremy Maclin, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek Hill. And even if they could, they can't cover them for 5-6 seconds, which is how long it typically takes the Steelers pass rush to get home.

The lack of a pass rush will force the Steelers to send pass pressures at Smith the majority of the game. This will do two things for the Chiefs; allow the receivers to get favorable one on one match ups, and allow holes for big runs. When teams have to send extra help to get after the QB, they often have to accept that they will leave gaping holes in the run game. This means Spencer Ware will have a fun night putting his shoulder down on safeties.

So there it is Chiefs fans. Take the over on this game because I am expecting a barn burner.

My final score prediction: Chiefs 34, Steelers 28
