Hurricane travels to Morgantown to take on University

Well the Hurricane Redskins assumed that if they defeated St. Albans and picked up their 6th victory, they would be heading for a first round playoff match up in Morgantown. Well part of that turned out to be the case, however a surprise upset in which George Washington defeated Capital shook matter up a tad. While the #12 Redskins are indeed traveling north on Friday at 730pm, they are doing so to meet University Not Morgantown.

University

HUrricane has played University but one time in the history of the two programs. It was the first playoff game EVER hosted by the Redskins when University visited in 2000. The contest did not go Hurricane's way and the Redskins lost 40-14.The Hawks were led by Scott Gryko, who later played at WVU and is the brother of St. Louis Cardinal Jed Gyrko.

The winner of Fridays game will take on the winner of Morgantown v. Spring Mills

The field from 3-16 appears to be wide open, until a team runs into the likes of Spring Valley and/or Martinsburg. For now Hurricane is looking forward to talking their talents north up I-79 for consecutive weeks. Playing teams outside of the MSAC will be a nice unknown.
