World Series Rooting Interest

I am going to root for the LA Dodgers in the 2017 World Series, though I will be happy with the Houston Astros winning it also.

Once the Red Sox were eliminated (by those same Astros, no less), I settled into my favorite role: that of the casual but informed spectator. I spent time getting to know the NY Yankees and the Astros roster, and found a lot to like. Todd Frazier, the 3B for the Yanks, is from Toms River, where my parents live in NJ. And Justin Verlander, a favorite of mine, pitched his team into the World Series with a dominant ALCS.

To be fair, I didn't watch too much of the National League Championship Series, but I didn't have to. The LA Dodgers were an early fond crush of mine. I lived in Southern California (Pasadena) during an internship in college, and while I didn't follow the Dodgers, I loved Los Angeles, and I love the blue of the Dodgers logo. A great roommate gave me an old Dodger souvenir flag/pennant, and I had hung it up for years, without knowing much about team.

I'm rooting for a memory. Go LA! Get yourself that World Series.
