Celtics decline Jimmy Butler offer, is it the right move?

The Boston Celtics turned down the offer of the #3 pick for All Star Jimmy Butler. Is that the right move? Of course, why trade the #3 pick for a 28 year old player when we can draft a 19-20 year old who may make an impact year 1, and has amazing potential. Obviously Jimmy Butler is a star, I will not deny that, but the Celtics are not going to beat the Cavaliers, or the Warriors, unless they get 3 All Stars, which is very unlikely, but do not rule anything out. Keeping the pick was a smart idea, as everyone can tell Ainge is all about building for the future, so why would he trade the #3 pick for a player that could help us for maybe 3 years. Especially when the pick we make, which I presume is either Tatum or Jackson, who may hit full potential in 3-4 years when Lebron is just about done, and the Warriors have grown old. Is trading for a player that will not change us into a contender, we would need an All Star team for the Warriors, and maybe even the Cavs depending on what they do in the offseason, but even if they make no roster changes, is that the right idea? Is Jimmy Butler going to be the reason The Celtics win those 4 games VS. Cleveland in the 3rd Round? Nothing negative against Butler, but I think the Celtics would at least have to get Butler as well as someone else to beat the Cavs. The Celtics are already a winning team, and unless we get 3 All Star caliber players, we will not win a ring, so lets just accept the fact that this team has reached its ceiling, and that we need to build for when the Superteam down in Silicon Valley is, and the King Lebron James has run out of gas. Building for the future is the best idea, as we will not be able to contend now without making insane, and highly unlikely moves.
