Does the NBA Free Agency even matter this year?

Obviously the NBA has always had teams that are dominating the league, but at least surrounding teams could make moves to make them seem like a competitor, and they give the dominating teams a little bit to worry about. There is a difference between competition in today's NBA . The Golden State Warriors are the sole reason for this gap. Ever since the Kevin Durant move, they basically have clear paths to the finals for a few years, to showcase their dominance they went 15-1 in the postseason, whereas last year they faced a 3-1 deficit, and the playoffs were much more interesting. I speak for a majority of the fans when I say a superteam containing 4 all stars, needs to go. The West, a much more competitive division then the East (supposedly), was blown away by the Warriors this year. I understand the argument the Cavs blew by teams, but the fact that they got destroyed by the Warriors shows a clear gap in power between the rest of the NBA and the Warriors. The sad truth of the NBA, where a team making a good move, does not even make them competitive, unless they create some All Star team. One move I note is the Hornets getting Dwight Howard, this move could make them competitive, not championship caliber, but it could at least somewhat cause a problem, but in a league where the power is in sole possession of one team, this move means nothing. This Durant move is a year old, but it still is frustrating to any fan looking for competition. I am talking about this move today, just under a year after, because as Free Agency starts up, I begin to question its importance to the rest of the NBA, other than the only two teams (San Antonio and Cleveland) that have slight chance at beating this overpowered team (Golden State) does it really matter? Does the Celtics signing Blake Griffin bolster them into Championship talks? No, in reality the Celtics would have to trade for Butler, and sign Hayward and Griffin, to even think about competing next year. This offseason seems almost pointless unless the Cavs make a big move, or the Spurs can acquire more All Star talent, because no other team can compete. It is seriously sad, as a big basketball fan to know that there are slim to none possible moves to counter the force down in Silicon Valley. I believe that super teams need to go, and this league needs to gain its competitive edge back, and I am sure a large amount of spectators would agree. Well except for Warriors fans.
