Is Ainge up to something? Or are these just more Celtics trade Rumors?
With the recent deal between the 76ers and the Celtics, acoording to Jon Wolfond, Ainge said "the phones have been ringing" since. What does this mean? Danny has traded the #1 pick moved down 2 spots to the #3 pick, and has acquired either the Lakers 2018 1st round pick, or the Sacramento Kings 2019 pick (read my last article if you are confused about the trade). This trade in my opinion, was not the best, but what if this was not the "real" trade. What if the Celtics are in talks with other teams, dealing some of their many future 1st round picks and some of their assets, to bring in that Super Star they have been so eager to have for over these past few years. This trade could possibly be for Stars such as Anthony Davis, Jimmy Butler, or Paul George. Those 3 are the "most talked about" in the news for potential trades, but I am sure there are multiple other Superstar caliber players that we could receive in return for our picks and assets. According to William Lou, the Boston Celtics have appeared to be "trying to trade for" the Pelicans PF. Now obviously this is a dream deal, as he is a young stud who has Hall of Fame potential, but could this deal foreshadow for the future. Could the Celtics get that Superstar they have needed with theit surplus of picks, and the assets they have. Trading for players such as Anthony Davis, Paul George or Jimmy Butler, who we have been in on for a possible trade for at least one of them for a while now (Jimmy Butler) Completing one of these trades is taking a huge step forward as an organization, moving forward as a team, and it makes the fans happy. It's an all around win (Espcecially during the season). Only time will tell, but is Danny Ainge about to finally offer up the deal that can get this done? And will Celtics fans be walking out of this week with a new star on their team?
