49ers: Tramaine Brock Release Shows A New Era For The Organization

NFL: San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals

It didn't take long for San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch to show that things are different with him in charge.

Starting cornerback Tramaine Brock got arrested for felony domestic violence. Under the previous leadership it became a wait and see approach before any discipline ever got handed out and according to reports 15 49ers have been arrested since 2012.

Hours after the announcement though, Lynch answered any questions about how he will handle the situation by cutting Brock one of the teams longest tenured players on the roster. This also sent a clear message to those on the roster and regardless of the team's need or the longevity or success of the player.

It's a welcome sign and definitely has set the tone and answers any questions about the upcoming draft when it comes to those who have character concerns. Lynch will likely pass on that opportunity.
