KALAMAZOO, MI. - After a tough game 5 lost to the Walleye at the Huntington Center on Friday night, the Kwings found them selves on the brink of being removed from the playoffs.

Kalamazoo had their chances but couldn't capitalize as Toledo shook and took advantage of the miscues to win the game. Now once again Kalamazoo have to win another game for another day as they come back home to Wings Event Center for a game 6 matinee on Sunday afternoon.

Toledo scored first as Landon Oslanski blast a one-timer past goalie Joel Martin from the faceoff giving Toledo a 1-0 lead in period 1 and just three minutes later Zack Nastasiuk gets in on the scoring with a tap in goal making it 2-0 Toledo.

Kwings landed an attack towards the end of the period as Blake Kessel fires on into the back of the net (ast. by Eric Kattelus) putting Kalamazoo on the board 2-1 to end period 1.

Kwings would get stronger in period 2 as Lane Scheidl's backhand goal past goalie Jake Paterson would tie the game at 2 then Brian Hart got in on the scoring recovering the bounced puck was able to get in giving Kalamazoo their first lead of the contest 3-2. And finally, Josh Pitt who was out getting stitched up comes back in the game and found the loose puck off the scramble only to get it in now Kalamazoo goes up 2 goals at 4-2 at the end of intermission.

Toledo would score one more time in period 3 as Tyson Spink wrister found the net and the rest is history as Kalamazoo wins game 6, 4-3 forcing a game 7.

Toledo's play was spotty at times not really certain how to attack Kalamazoo and showed no urgency to close out the series which was key to their loss.

Kalamazoo continued to play at a high level they needed to do a lot of things right and excute their game plan which was key to their win.

Kalamazoo now heads back to Ohio to face the Walleye for the last time this season as the winner moves on and the loser goes fishing at the Huntington Center for game Tuesday 7:35 pm.
