KWINGS FACES A 2-0 HOLE IN THE SERIES

TOLEDO, OH. - The Kwings start to these Kelly Cup Semi's was not what Kalamazoo anticipated. In game one, Kalamazoo played from behind as Toledo put up 4 goals and took game one 4-3 in front of their fans at the Huntington Center on Friday night.

Being down 1-0 in the series and on the road, the Kwings now turn their attention on game 2 looking to redeem themselves and to square the series before heading back to Kzoo.

Toledo continued we're they left off from game 1 on Saturday night; motive: ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK and that's what they did. In just 3:34 of the opening period, they get a score on a top - corner wrister by Kyle Bonis passed Kwings goalie Joel Martin another added by Tyson Spink and capping off the Scoring Evan Rankin wrapped one around the back side of the net a just like that Toledo has a 3-0 lead to close out period 1.

In period 2 the Walleye offense scored the only goal on a wrister blast by Rankin (his second of the game) passed goalie Martin's leg and Kalamazoo now finds themselves down being shut out 4-0 at intermission.

Kalamazoo needed to get going in period 3 but only to managed one goal by Peter Schneider passed Toledo goalie Jake Paterson to get on the board and take the circle off the board and Toledo wins 4-1 taking a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series at the Huntington Center.

Now the series shifts to Kalamazoo as the Kwings return to even this series back home for games 3 and 4.
