NFL Announces to Launch its First Football Academy in the UK

NFL is extremely popular in America and trying to grow its reputation in the UK.

Its announcement to launch its first soccer academy in the UK could be seen as an attempt to creating pathways to promote American Football in the UK, alongside exploring the new talent pool.

The academy will open in September this year for 16 to 18-year-old players. It will provide the opportunity to the British teenagers to have a first-hand understanding of American soccer and a chance to shift from traditional British sports if they want.

According to Jay, one of the ambassadors for the academy, “I'm just excited to see what's next for England - and this academy is just another part of the puzzle because it's going to start fostering that talent."

The NFL academy based at Barnet and Southgate College will also provide qualifications including BTECs and A-levels as well as specialized coaching in American Football.
