NFL:

The Green Bay Packers released cornerback Sam Shields. Shields had played his whole career with the Packers but only played one game last year due to injury. The Packers now will need to upgrade their cornerback position if they would like to still be contenders.

Sam Shields, 29 will look to add another chapter to his career with a different team.

NBA:

Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker suffered a torn ACL in last nights game against the Miami Heat. Parker has been ruled out 12 months. Parker tore his ACL last year as well.

The Miami Heat won their 12th consecutive game last night against the Bucks. The Heat now stand two games out of the playoff picture with a 23-30 record. A lot of the Heat’s success can be put on Dion Waiters. Over the past 30 days, Waiters has averaged 19.1 PPG 3.9 RPG 5.2 APG and 2.4 3PPG.

MLB:

Former Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson announced his retirement from baseball. Wilson was a two-time all-star with a 3.87 ERA.
