Beckham's antics wearing thin with teammates and management

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants drafted Odell Beckham Jr. back in 2014 out of LSU and he's been nothing short of spectacular his first two seasons in the big apple, but now he is a trending topic and sometimes that isn't a good thing. It was when he made this catch but there is also a bad side to trending topics.....

The catch heard round the world

OBJ's first two years were better than maybe any receiver in the history of the game but 2016 hasn't been kind to OBJ and he has to find a way to turn things around before he starts rubbing management the wrong way.

It started with a on-field fight with Josh Norman in 2015 and it has come full circle to a meltdown in week 4 in 2016 against the Vikings. Beckham has said that the Norman situation "Tarnished" him and he's thinks he is getting negative feedback for it, but if you can't contain your emotion on the field or stop posting "questionable" videos on social media, then you are putting yourself in harms way.

Beckham Jr. also has to understand that he is being seen through a microscope in one of the biggest media markets/outlets in the entire United States, so mistakes need to be held to a absolute minimum.

Odell has also seen his production drop at the beginning of the season and being outplayed by rookie Sterling Shepherd. Shepherd has a 2-0 edge in touchdowns and nearly has as many receptions. He is a big part of the offense but his shenanigans will eventually wear thin.

Rookie WR Sterling Shepherd is quickly stepping in to help the Giants deal with Beckham's tirades by giving Eli another dependable target

Smitty's message to OBJ: "Get back to playing football and making spectacular catches and scoring touchdowns because production will take you further than popularity in the NFL!".
