Top 10 NBA players headed into 2016-2017

The NBA once again crowned the King champ and the owners have once again revamped their teams and line-ups to make a run at him. Kevin Durant, Dwayne Wade and a couple of other stars made big moves to new teams, but before I get ahead of myself lets take a look at my top 10 players heading into the new NBA season.

1. LeBron James

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The king is back on the throne once again and looking to pursue one more crown for his Trophy case. Fans have been saying all summer that If he takes down the new "Super Team" in the bay area then be may be crowned the greatest,  but the jury is still out.

2. Kevin Durant

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Durant has a new address and a lot of fans weren't happy with the move even his ex-teammate Mr. Westbrook, but to make a long story short Durant skills can't be denied and even though he will be asked to share the basketball he can still take over the game.

3. Stephen Curry

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Curry has a new running mate and it may ease some of the stress off his shoulders and the Warriors try to make it 3 straight finals appearances. Curry is still the best shooter in the NBA but now he may have the most dangerous roster behind him so look out.

4. Russell Westbrook

Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

"Mr. Triple-Double" now has the keys to the team and the city on his back. Westbrook has carried the Thunder the last couple of seasons and do not look for that to change as he has a new crew but same agenda, win a title. Look for him to put himself in the MVP race as well.

5. Kawhi Leonard

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

Like Westbrook, Leonard is the sworn in leader of the Spurs after the retirement of their franchise's all-time great Tim Duncan and he has Lamarcus Aldridge backing him up. Coach Popovich always has something up his sleeve so look for Kahwi to have another All-Star type season.

6. James Harden

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

James Harden is undeniably one of the most talented scorers in the entire NBA but he has yet to find that one player to help him take the Rockets to the next level. I don't know what it could be maybe the chemistry or coaching, but it is what's holding him from an NBA title.

7. Chris Paul

Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

CP3 is one of the great point guards in any era but 2015-2016 ended in disappointment yet again as injuries derailed the Clippers chances at a deep playoff run and left the veteran looking for answers. His window is closing so look for him to give it his all and hope Doc and the guys have his back.

8. Anthony Davis

The brow is one of the brighter young talents in the league and even though the Pelicans have given him the type of talent to grow on he has still went out and dominated the competition night in and night out, but if they don't him some talent he won't finish his career in the Big Easy.

9. Paul George

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Paul George showed guts coming back from a horrific leg injury and his first full season was his best yet as he led an undermanned Pacers team to the postseason. George is still a top 5 swingman that can takeover a game and put up points in a hurry, do look for him to get the Pacers a top 4 seed heading into this years playoffs.

10. DeMarcus Cousins

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

Boogie has been a thorn in the side of Kings management but he had been the only thing keeping the team afloat since being drafted, but how much longer will they hold on to him? Cousins will put up his numbers but he won't do it silently.
