The first quarter of the season is about to wrap up and there have been a few surprises through 3 weeks but let's see who can push their squad closer to the playoffs.

Thursday Night Football

Dolphins @ Bengals

The Dolphins got off the slide at home last week and Ryan Tannehill showed signs of life, but the angry Bengals have to get themselves together to keep up in the division, should be a defensive struggle but I'll go with Cincy at home, Bengals win 20-13

Sunday's games

Colts @ Jaguars

The Jags have let me down this season as their Coach may be fighting for his job in this one, should be one of many high scoring games as Luck and Bortles look to air it out, but the Jags still have more talent on defense, Jags win 24-20

Panthers @ Falcons

The Panthers are looking for revenge as the Falcons ended their perfect season, but the Falcons are on a 2-game win streak and playing well on offense, so look for this to be a barn-burner from beginning to end, but I'm going with the home team, Falcons win 27-21

Titans @ Texans

Houston was unexpectedly shutout in Foxboro and looked anemic on offense, while the Titans also have to get it going on offense as they have struggled the 2nd half of the last two games. Osweiler should bounce back against a young Titans D at home, Texans win 28-17

Browns @ Redskins

Cleveland has been competitive in the last two games but have lost crucial leads in both, but they have to play a Redskins team fresh off a road win, but the Browns are due for a win I'll take Cleveland, Browns win 23-20

Seahawks @ Jets

Ryan Fitzpatrick had the worst game in NFL history for a QB in KC and playing a top ranked defense won't boost his confidence and did I mention the Seahawks are looking like the Seahawks again, so guess who I'm picking, Seahawks win 27-17

Bills @ Patriots

Rex Ryan always has played the Patriots well win or lose and he will be up against a young QB no matter what which may play in his favor, but the Pats haven't skipped a beat without Brady and seem to be unstoppable, Pats win 30-17

Raiders @ Ravens

Baltimore is 3-0 and at home against a Raiders defense that can't stop a cold in the winter, but look for this to be closer than the stat sheet tells us. I'm taking Baltimore at home, Ravens win 23-16

Lions @ Bears

The Lions nearly mounted a comeback at Lambeau while the young Bears could keep up in Jerry's world and even though they are at home the Bears are on the road to a top 10 pick and looking for a new coach, Lions win 24-10

Broncos @ Buccaneers

Jameis Winston put up numbers last week in a home loss, but this week is a different monster as he faces the league's top defense and a fellow 2nd year player in Trevor Siemien who has all the confidence be needs, Broncos roll 31-13

Rams @ Cardinals

Don't look now but the Rams lead the division and have a chance to widen that gap with a win Sunday, and yes the last time they played in the dessert it was Todd Gurley's coming out party, but the Red Birds are in need of a win and they will get it despite having key injuries, Cardinals win 30-21

Saints @ Chargers

The Chargers have given away 2 games this season including last weeks loss to the Colts, but the Saints will have to keep scoring to have a chance in this one because of their defense. The Chargers will hold the Saints in check long enough to take this one at home, Chargers win 30-21

Cowboys @ 49ers

These teams turn back the clock in this match up but it's far from the 90's rivalry that NFL fans know and love, but they will have some of the same type players for Dallas as they have a great Offensive line, a young stud rookie duo and their chemistry is getting stronger with every game. Bad news for the Niners, Cowboys win 24-10

Sunday Night Football

Chiefs @ Steelers

The Steelers are coming off one of their worst losses in nearly 30 years and they face a Chiefs defense that is playing at a high level. Brown vs Peters will be a pivotal match-up but Le'Veon Bell's return is what puts the Steelers over the top, Steelers win 21-17

Monday Night Football

Giants @ Vikings

The Vikings defense is carrying the team but Sam Bradford has done his job as well and the Giants facing a great defense may spell trouble for Eli who can regress at any time, Vikings win 23-13
