Here Goes Nothing!

I think most of us get to a point where we find ourselves questioning what we're doing and why we're doing it. I've always been someone who has been incredibly passionate about everything sports. For me, there really is no offseason (I'm sure my girlfriend could tell you that). Everything from the NFL Playoffs to the Arizona Fall League, there is always something that needs to be researched or talked about. I'm not entirely sure why I'm starting a sports blog, but it just kinda feels right.

Ever since I was a wee lad, sports have been something that have tickled my fancy. With that said, I was never the greatest athlete on the field... or even close to that title for that matter. I started playing baseball in fifth grade, and I was quite lousy at it. I remember always getting home frustrated game after game because my first hit had not yet graced me with its presence. This feeling of shaky play continued up until I started playing high school ball. At this point, I also began playing football, where I may have been the slowest starting inside linebacker in freshman football history. Fast forward four years, and I somehow managed to make my high school varsity baseball team. Had you told me this when I first picked up a glove, I would've thought you were as crazy the person who predicted Tom Brady would be a sure-fire first-ballot Hall of Famer (that person does not exist).

Skipping ahead to where I am right now, I currently work as a recruiting cooridnator for an accounting firm in the bay area. I find myself always looking forward to lunch, because the kitchen seems to transform into the set of ESPN's Pardon The Interruption. My coworkers and I always seem to end up discussing the prior day's current events in the world of sports, such as LeBron's issues with Dan Gilbert, or how teams seem to actually be considering Tony Romo, even with a $24.7M cap hit.

I seem to never be able to escape a conversation about the Wonderful World of Sports, and this blog is just another way for me to take all of my finite sports knowledge, and giving it back to you, the People (sound familiar?)
