The best times to workout!

There have been many questions going around about when would be the best time to go for gym workout or exercise alone. Well, this is merely a myth, all that matters is simply finding a time that suits you.

If you are an early riser, then maybe working out during morning times would work better for you, do exercise before breakfast, or maybe if you have an early morning job and can only find free-time right after work, then maybe try a good 6 pm workout.

Though some people say early morning workouts are better, others say late-night workouts are the way to go. This again is up to you but we can give some tips on how to establish these workout time habits.

Morning time

If you are quite lazy to exercise, then morning time might be the best time for you. Experts have tended to mention this in a few studies, mostly because once you already conduct your morning exercise, you will not get bothered by the daily pressures throughout the day.

If you are not used to exercising or if you know you have troubles finding the will to exercise, it is best to start off your day with it. Take it slow, maybe try running before breakfast or weight training in the morning, there are plenty of simple exercises you can try before starting the day.

One thing to remember about working out in the morning, however, is to allow your body more time to warm up as your body temperature would be lower at this time.

Afternoon exercise

Despite people’s lean towards morning times, it is not always the case for everybody. For some people, exercising at around lunchtime might work best.

There is nothing wrong with it and lunchtime workouts are perfectly fine, it all just depends on the person; if that lunchtime hour motivates them then it works.

Exercising and eating

You are welcome to exercise during lunchtime, however, it is important to remember you should always eat after you workout and not before.

There has been some debate about whether you should exercise after a meal or before and deciding which will work better for your body. According to researchers, it is always good to eat after a workout. According to experts, the blood needed for your muscle when you workout would go to your digestive tract if you eat before.

Late-night

Experts like Sally White, dean at College of Education at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, had also suggested it was not good to workout too late or eat too late. Both exercising and eating too late can ruin your sleeping pattern and it is very important to keep a healthy sleeping habit.

In order to achieve regular exercise, you will also need to achieve a regular sleeping pattern, so do try to avoid late-night workouts.

It is up to you!

In the end, it is completely up to you to determine what time works for your workout sessions. Do not concern yourself so much with what is the best time to exercise or lose weight, people work differently and it is important to choose a time that will consistently keep you on a regular habit.
