Russell Westbrook makes history in Denver.

Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Denver Nuggets (106-105) with Russell Westbrook's game winner buzzer-beating 3-pointer. This game was a heart-breaker for Denver, which ended their playoffs hopes as Denver has been eliminated from the playoffs. This is the Nuggets 4th straight season without making a playoff appearance since 2013. The Nuggets were 47% in field goals, but they struggled to knock down their 3-pointers only shooting 32%. Throughout the game, they lead the Thunder in 2nd and 3rd Quarter. Their hopes were on the line in the final minute of the game, but they couldn't stop Westbrook from scoring and Westbrook took advantage of it. Their next games are against the Mavericks at American Airlines Arena, then they have a rematch against Russell Westbrook and the Thunder at Oklahoma City, so hopefully, they can obtain revenge against Westbrook after what he did to Denver and the die-hard Nuggets fans.

At Pepsi Center, not only Russell Westbrook crushed Denver Nuggets fans, but he also made history and it just wasn't the game winning 3. He passed Oscar Robertson's record for most triple-doubles in a season. Including the game-winning 3, he had 50 points, 10 assists, and 16 rebounds. Other than the game-winning shot, he made a play that seals the record. In 4:24 in the 4th Quarter, Westbrook works with a screen by Domantas Sabonis. He drives to the basket but sees Semaj Christon in the right corner behind the 3-point line. He passes it to him, Christon shoots, Christon scores, Westbrook get his 42nd triple-double which is the most in basketball history, and that was the moment that NBA fans, especially in OKC, could never forget in years. It was a priority for Westbrook to acquire the triple-double record after not passing the record in Phoenix when he was 2 assists short of from 42 triple-doubles.

Now that Russell Westbrook made history, his biggest priority is to make his team effective in the playoffs. They not having Kevin Durant as their leader after he chose to play for the Warriors, in which the Warriors eliminated the Thunder last year in the Western Conference Finals. Now, it's up to Russell Westbrook who is the "chosen one" to a favorable outcome. They are ranked 6th in Western Conference, but he is mostly likely going to face the Houston Rockets and James Harden who is Westbrook's foe in the MVP ladder. Harden played for Oklahoma City, but the Thunder traded him in a multi-player deal. Now, he is in a Rockets uniform. The Oklahoma City Thunder are on a mission and they are the underdogs in the playoffs, so now it's their chance to prove them wrong.
