"The Stack" 11-9-16
The Stack is back on this Thursday and I think everyone is still trying to digest what happened Tuesday night in the election. We won’t talk about that here though. Go to CNN, Fox News, ABC News, CBS or any other place, but wait until you’ve read today’s blog please. Time to find out what’s in “the stack” for today, Thursday, November 10th:
College football weekend forecast
In all honesty, there are not a lot of good matchups this week. Only two game pit two true top 25 teams against one another and that would be #20 USC @ #4 Washington at 7:30 PM ET on FOX. Baylor is ranked #25 in the AP poll and face #9/AP#11/CFP Oklahoma (Noon ET on ABC or ESPN2). #16 West Virginia is going to have a difficult time at Texas (Noon ET, FS1), but should escape with a victory. Out of the top four teams in the College Football Playoff (#1 Alabama, #2 Clemson, #3 Michigan, #4 Washington), Michigan may have the biggest challenge at 8 PM ET on ABC against Iowa, but then again, Washington will face their toughest test against this USC squad. #24 LSU visits #25 Arkansas (7 PM ET ESPN). Perhaps Leonard Fournette will rush for more than 35 yards unlike last week against Alabama. There are bound to upsets on Saturday and some chaos. Looking forward to another good weekend of college football action.
Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens 8:25 PM ET NFL Network
Don’t know if anyone watched Bowling Green @ Akron last night on ESPNU, but the Falcons have uniforms that look very similar to the Cleveland Browns. Bowling Green happens to have two more wins. I am not putting it past the Browns to find a way to get a victory over Baltimore considering they were close back in week 2, but the Ravens have a little more experience and that will pay off in this game.
Prediction: Ravens 30 Browns 20
