Big 12 Basketball Predictions: 10-7

10. Kansas State- Last year the Wildcats finished 8th in the Big 12 and this year they'll be lucky to finish 8th or better. The Cats' lose their top scorer from last season, Justin Edwards(13 ppg). They do return their 2nd, 3rd and 4th scorers from last season in: Wesley Iwundu(12 ppg), Dean Wade(10 ppg) and D.J. Johnson(9 ppg). In recruiting they add 3-star and #26 SF Xavier Snead. Expect the K-State Wildcats to finish between 8th-10th in the Big 12 this year.

9.TCU- Adding Ex-Pitt head coach Jamie Dixon is a big get for TCU as they attempt to build their program but this season they won't quite get there yet. The Horned Frogs lose Chauncey Collins(12 ppg) their top scorer but return their 2nd and 3rd scorers Malique Trent(12 ppg) and Vladimir Brodziansky(10 ppg). In recruiting the Frogs add Jaylen Fisher 4-star ESPN100 #8 PG who is a great get for Dixon to build around. TCU could finish as high as 6th but as low as 10th in the Big 12.

8. Oklahoma State- The Cowboys return their top 2 scorers Phil Forte(13 ppg) and Jawun Evans(13 ppg). They lose starter Jeff Newberry who averaged 11ppg last season. In recruiting the Cowboys add Cameron McGriff(4-star and #23 SF) and 3-star Lindy Waters. The Cowboys won 3 games within the Big 12 and finished in 9th place. This year they should win about 5 Big 12 games and finish between 7-10 overall.

7.Texas Tech- The Red Raiders made an NCAA Tournament appearance last year by going 9-9 and finishing 7th in the Big 12 and should be right about at the same level this season. Texas Tech loses top scorers Toddrick Gotcher(11 ppg) and Devaugntah Williams (11 ppg) and returns Aaron Ross(10 ppg) and Zach Smith(10 ppg). In recruiting Texas Tech wasn't able to make any big splashes signing two not ranked players from JUCO. Texas Tech could be headed for a similar season as last year at best or at worst be a Big 12 bottomfeeder.
