The 2016 World Series starts tonight and where looking at a historical series here. We have a Cleveland Indians team that hasn't won a World Series in 68 years, and we have the Chicago Cubs, who haven't won a World Series in 108 years, so it's safe to say that one team will break a drought. So with that in mind, who will break their drought? Here is the Strictly Sports 2016 World Series Preview & Predictions.

Picking against the Indians is tough. After all, I had them losing to the Red Sox in the ALDS, and they swept them. Then I had the Blue Jays winning the pennant, and they Indians took care of them in five games. Like they always say, third time is the charm, but I'm not sold on that. After all, with the team battling injuries to the pitching rotation, their pitching has been on fire and their bullpen as well. Andrew Miller has been the heart and soul of that bullpen. Meanwhile, their offense has been solid, but it's the pitching that got them in the World Series.

Now, let's talk about them Cubbies. We can't pick against the Cubbies, as I had this team not only the best team in baseball, but I had them winning the World Series back in March. Their lineup is right now the most dangerous threat to the Indians pitching. The top of the rotation is deep, which is led by Jon Lester, Jake Arrieta, and the guy that pitched great this past Saturday night in Kyle Hendricks. And not to mention, their bullpen has also been red hot, which included Aroldis Chapman, who is throwing lights out.

Prediction: Cleveland advantage is the home field, but I'm sticking with my original idea, and that is the Cubs winning in six games.
