This Saturday, the Clemson Tigers will start their quest to an undefeated season when they travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium to face the Auburn Tigers. The game will be at 9:00 PM and is going to be broadcasted on ESPN. Clemson enters the new season as the second-ranked team in the country. Meanwhile, Auburn faces a tough schedule and is not a stronger contender to be in a major bowl game. Clemson is the favorite in this game, and this could be the start of a great season for the Tigers.

Dabo Swinney has the best player in the game of college football in Deshaun Watson. He is poised to be the first pick in the 2017 NFL Draft this coming spring. Gus Malzahn is in a make-or-break season. The Tigers will start Sean White as their new quarterback. White is a shotgun quarter, but should be okay in a hurry-up-and-run offense, but the player to watch out for Auburn is going to be defensive end Carl Lawson.

I have this as one of the top games of the weekend, as both of these games are poised for a high-scoring game. The reality is, is that Auburn has one of the worst defenses in the SEC, and that has been the theme the past couple of years. Clemson will have to rebuild in that part of the field this season, with the losses to Shaq Lawson, Mackensie Alexander, and Kevin Dodd. Expect Watson to move around the field to evade the pass rush. Given that Clemson is polished with their offensive ends and Auburn is rebuilding their defense, Clemson should have this game won by the start of the fourth quarter. While White will be under center and Lawson having a decent day in the Clemson field, Watson will prove that he is indeed the best player in college football.
