Real Sociedad will host Real Madrid in the first game of 2016/2017 La Liga season.

Real Sociedad is going into the new campaign with four new players. Eusebio Sacristan's squad were involved in 12 friendlies, in which they won five games drew in 4 games and lost three games. The Royals finished 9th in La Liga last season, and will be hoping for a better finish by the end of the campaign.

Real Madrid will start the season without their top player ‘Cristiano Ronaldo”. The Portuguese forward is currently inactive after sustaining an injury in the Euro 2016 final against France. Zidane's squad narrowly missed out on the La Liga title last season, and will be going into the new campaign on such a high note after winning the UEFA Super Cup last Tuesday.

Team News: Real Sociedad will be missing midfielder Zurutuza David in this big clash. The 30 years old will be out of this game due to an ankle injury. Joining David on the inactive list is 20 years old Serbian center back “Babic Srdjan”, who is out with a knee injury. Meanwhile, Los Blancos is also dealing with injuries to Benzema and Pepe because of lower body injuries. Lastly, Real Madrid didn;t make any major signings in the transfer window. But Alvaro Morata makes his return to Los Blancos

Prediction: It’s the beginning of a new campaign with many promises, drama, and few players still struggling to shake off the Euro 2016 campaign. However, Real Madrid has walked away with victories in most of their matches against the Royals. My guess is, is that Madrid wins their first game of the season.
