Liverpool enjoyed their crowning day to the fullest as they beat determined Chelsea emphatically in a eight goal thriller. Klopp's side tripled their lead inside the 1st 45 minutes and looked set to coast to an easy victory over Chelsea but an excellent comeback from Giroud kept his team in the hunt. Just after half-time Firmino and Chamberlain added another two goals for his club to make the things more worse for Chelsea. Lampard introduced Christian Pulisic in the second half and since then Chelsea found a wonderful rhythm on the pitch. The American forward was in the thick of the action yet again and scored a magnificent goal to cut Chelsea's deficit to a solitary goal.

In another fixture Manchester United drew against 'The Hammers' at Old Trafford as they picked up another important point in the context of the top-four race but they were ultimately left frustrated in a 1-1 draw. Antonia gave the visitors the lead just before the half time after Pogba raised his hands in order to protect his face from a long-range effort from Declan Rice thus giving referee an easy decision to award a penalty.

Mason Greenwood for United equalized in the 51st minute keeping his club away from an embarrassing defeat especially in this crucial junctures of the league stage. United are in third place on 63 points,Chelsea are fourth with same points and Leicester City are in 5th place with 62 points which makes that Solksjaer's side have to avoid defeat on Sunday at Leicester otherwise their hopes for qualifying for the Champion's league will come to an end.
