Klay Drops 60 in Dubs' Signature Win

OAKLAND -- At halftime, the Indiana Pacers had 50 points. Klay Thompson had 40. He was a man possessed on Monday night. In 3 quarters of play, Thompson led the Warriors with 60 points en route to a 142-106 victory over the Indiana Pacers. As they so often do, the Dubs' starters rested in the 4th quarter. We can only wonder how many he would've had if the game was closer. I guess 60 will do (for now), but I think he very well could have broken Kobe's 81 point performance. Klay went 21-33 from the field including 8 of 14 from beyond the arc. We've seen Klay go unconscious like this before (see: Klay Thompson 37-point quarter in 2015), so it wasn't a terribly huge surprise to see him light it up like he did.

Aside from the scoring barrage by the All-Star shooting guard, the Warriors played a very well-rounded game. Kevin Durant and Draymond Green had another stellar game defensively and provided an unbelievable highlight reel play. Off a jump ball tip, Draymond hit a streaking Steph Curry with perfect pass. In midair, Steph hauled in the pass and flipped the ball behind him to a soaring KD.

Each night it seems that one of the Dubs' big 3 scorers could go off. Tonight was Klay's night. A quarter of the way through the season, we have seen just how good this Warriors squad is when they are on their game. They are an offensive juggernaut, but have proven themselves on D. I know I speak for the rest of the Bay when I say that it's good to be a Warriors fan. Klay will surely need a beverage to cool him down after tonight's explosion. GET THAT MAN A COORS LIGHT!
