The Grand Finale
I’ve been away from my social media for a few days, and really just soaking in everything that is going on within this #24Forever Weekend. It’s Sunday night and I’m still trying to soak everything in, and every time I begin to think about it, I start to tear up. I said this yesterday, but I don’t really know “why” I’m tearing up. But, I think I can sum it up…

I look at my baby picture with my Mom, and I know that right off the bat, both of my parents and more importantly God, looked at me and said I was destined for greatness. But what does greatness look like 3 years later when they discovered that I, like my older brother, Kenyon, was born with a mild to moderate hearing loss. What type of life, and what type of greatness would it lead to?
Standing on center court next to my husband, Parnell, with my family, my teammates and coaches, the fans from all over, and the city of Indianapolis, that’s where God’s grace has gotten us to thus far.
The little girl in the picture to where we are today, I could never imagine the stage that I’ve been put on to IMPACT others. I remember sitting in the locker room the night I tore my ACL in Knoxville and felt a nudge from God saying, “Don’t worry, I got you!” Those 5 words have been what I’ve relied on to get me through. Five words that have pushed me through all of my injuries, and those difficult situations that I’ve felt I couldn’t get out of. He’s always got ME!!
So, standing there with my Dad on one side, and Parnell and my mom on the other side, as we pulled the string to raise the banner. Every tug represented a memory through my years of ball. Every tug represented the people that have and continue to be by my side. Every tug represented what God has in store for the future. And, maybe even the people that are looking down on me from above.
There have been so many people that have impacted my life, but the one I think about as I write is Pat Summitt. As we celebrate her legacy and her life, and how she’s helped shape me into the person that I am today. We all make decisions in our lives- some good, some bad. I am so thankful that I made the choice back in High School to be impacted by her and continue my journey to the University of Tennessee! Pat, you continue to shape me and you continue to drive me to be the BEST ME EVER!! I miss you and love you always and forever!!
I’m so thankful for all of the notes, texts, cards, Social Media call outs and everything else!! I can’t possibly thank each of you individually, but THANK YOU for allowing me to be a part of your lives and for continuing to support me through all of my ventures- Catch the Stars Foundation, Tea’s Me Cafe Indy and thru Pacers Sports & Entertainment. I can never go back and repay you for what you’ve brought to me and my family, but I am proud to have a lil Hoosier blood in me for life!
