Alonso Hits 50th Home Run, Padres Fire Green

Hello sports fans.

I have two intriguing headlines in MLB today.

MLB

(Top) Pete Alonso hits number 50.

New York Met's rookie sensation, Pete Alonso, hit his 50th home run of the season last night against the Cincinnati Reds.

The Mets won 8-1.

The San Diego Padres fired manager, Andy Green.

I think Green is the first manager to be fired this season.

Rod Barajas takes over as interim manager.

(Top) Andy Green gets the Axe.

Arizona Diamondback's Ketel Marte, is out for the season with a back injury.

NFL

Cleveland Browns placed Christian Kirksey on the injured reserve because of a chest injury.
