Blues Edges Leafs

Despite the 3-2 loss last night to the St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leaf's head coach, Mike Babcock said he was quite pleased with his team's performance.

"I thought it was a good game," said Babcock at the post game press conference. "They, (the Blues) found a way to get one, (a goal), and we didn't."

There was no scoring in the first period.

Oskar Sundqvist opened the scoring at 8:30 of the second period to put the Blues ahead 1-0.

Frederik Gauthier tied the game at 11:34.

24 seconds later, William Nylander put the Leafs ahead 2-1.

Brayden Schenn tied the game at 19:12.

Alex Pietrangelo scored the winner at 7:51 of the third period.

Blue's goalie, Jordan Binnington, stopped 34 shots.

Toronto's goalie, Frederik Anderson, stopped 30 shots last night.

The Leafs have two days off before the team host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday Night.
