Jays Surprisingly Take Game One

It is hard to believe, but the Toronto Blue Jays managed to defeat the Atlanta Braves Tuesday night 3-1.

Going into the game, Brave's starting pitcher, Mike Soroka, was 10-2.

The Jays got eight hits off of Soroka last night.

Vladmir Guerrero drove in Bo Bichette win a RBI single in the bottom of the first inning.

Two batters later, Justin Smoak drove in Cavan Biggio with a RBI single.

The Braves got their lone run at the top of the seventh inning.

Ozzie Albies drove in Tyler Flowers with a ground rule double.

In the bottom of the seventh, Smoak hit solo home run.

Smoak went two for three at the plate and had two RBIs.

Jay's pitcher, Zack Godley, went three innings, allowing two hits, no earned runs, two walks, and struck out two batters.

Atlanta's Billy Hamilton went two for two at the plate last night.

Soroka went six innings, allowing two earned runs, no walks, and struck out a batter.
