Marner Gets $65 Million Extension

Marner Gets $65 million extension, but is he worth it?

Well, news broke out last night that Toronto Maple Leaf's forward, Mitch Marner, agreed to a six-year, $65,358 million contract extension.

Speculation has gone on for months about his time with the Leafs and now it is over.

Is he worth the $65 million?

Okay, he did tallied up 94 points last season, but is going to do the same in 2019/20?

I believe there's a good chance that last season is a fluke.

Why?

It is because when the 22 year-old broke into the NHL, he was an average player.

Marner is no Austin Matthews or is he a John Tavares.

There is a chance he'll have a bad year or worse.

To me, Marner is going to have to have a good year offensively because if he doesn't, the Leafs just squandered $65 million.
