Two Suspensions in the NFL and NHL

Hello sports fans.

I have quite a bit to get to, including two suspensions.

NFL

(Top) Vontaze Burfict is suspended for the year.

Oakland Raider's Vontaze Burfict has been suspended for the rest of the season for his hit on Indianapolis Colt's Jack Doyle on Sunday.

Denver Bronco's Bradley Chubb is reportedly out for the season with a torn left ACL.

NHL

(Top) Evander Kane suspended for three games.

San Jose Shark's Evander Kane is suspended for three games for Physical Abuse of an official.

The Winnipeg Jets have placed Eric Comrie on waivers. The Arizona Coyotes then claimed Comrie off waivers.

The Jets claimed Carl Dahlstrom off waivers.

Also, Jet's Bryan Little is going to miss roughly four weeks with a concussion.

Minnesota Wild's Greg Pateryn is out for six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a bilateral core muscle.

The Montreal Canadiens have sent Ryan Poehling to the American Hockey League's Laval Rocket.

After 13 seasons, Lee Stempniak has announced his retirement.

Finally, the Pittsburgh Penguins have placed Casey DeSmith on waivers.
