Aldon Smith Cut by San Fransisco 49'ers

Sad days for 49'ers fans as you may know by now Aldon Smith has been released today. Here is the quotes from Jim Tomsula. "It's a sad day. This is a day that doesn't have anything to do with football. Although he won't will be playing football for the San Francisco 49ers, he will be supported, and he will be helped." Taylor Price, (49'ers.com) He continued with this. "If one person out there reads this, and you're struggling, get help," Tomsula said. "Go get it. You're worth it. There's a value in every human being. Get the help. You don't have to walk alone." (49'ers.com)
This is a major blow to the 49'ers defense, especially to a team that has lost so much on both sides of the ball. I am really unsure if this can compete in a tough NFC West. Even with Aldon Smith it would have been hard to do.
I believe the 49'ers did the right thing to today, as tough as it to make that decision. He clearly needs help beyond football. I worry that his career might be over. He has shown that he is troubled, and he is constantly in legal trouble or suspended.
I wanted to see him redeem himself, he is extremely talented and is very impressive when he plays. He piles up sacks so effortlessly and that is the sad thing about the whole situation. If he could have stayed out of trouble, Aldon Smith could be a hall of fame type player.
He is so divergent in his position, as someone who can cover someone very good. Then the next second sack the quarterback. The 49'ers are in for a interesting year, and I will root for them that they can make the playoffs.
