I have great news for MLB fans! A woman could be in the Major Leagues very soon. I am so excited for Melissa Mayeux. I hope she plays for the New York Yankees. She is the next Jackie Robinson, just like he broke down color barriers. Melissa will be breaking down gender barriers. I am very excited about this opportunity for her.
She might be the first woman to make the Hall of Fame. The MLB has needed diversity forever, and they found their star. Move over Mike Trout, and Bryce Harper. Melissa is a star package. She will be a five tool player in the MLB. I have never seen a prospect with so much knowledge of the game called, "baseball."
Jaap de Groot is my new favorite journalist. Sadly the MLB.com does not have is backing by not approving his article. Maybe, after reading this they will. The MLB may finally get amazing ratings.
I hope more women follow in the path of Melissa, and I will be rooting for her. I am now in her fan club. I hope more people join me, as this will be a story that I will cover for most of my life.
