Manu Ginobili is returning to the San Antonio Spurs!

Manu Ginobili is returning to the San Antonio Spurs after he signed a one year and fourteen million dollar contract. Vertical reporter Shams Charania confirms the agreement. Previously, ESPN reporter Marc Stein had the deal at one year and ten million dollars.  However, the Philadelphia 76'ers tried to entice Manu Ginobili with a high offer. I think this is a solid move for the San Antonio Spurs. I feel the contract is slightly risky at the price for Manu Ginobili as he turns 39 years old this year. However, it is only a one year contract and Manu Ginobili still can shoot the three and he provides veteran experience. Manu can teach the younger players on the second unit how to run the Spurs system and still be a huge asset on the floor.

I have always enjoyed watching Manu Ginobili and I am happy that he is back for one more year trying to win a championship ring. He would not have had that opportunity with the Philadelphia 76'ers to try to win one more NBA Championship.  I know it will be weird not seeing Tim Duncan on the San Antonio Spurs in the upcoming season. I am hoping that Manu Ginobili has a great season this year. Hopefully, Manu Ginobili will be sixth man of the year and he will play like his 2014 self. I trust that the Spurs management have a great plan in place and he will have a successful 2016-2017 NBA campaign with the San Antonio Spurs. Keeping Manu Ginobili shows the San Antonio Spurs consistency in winning. It is going to be a fun 2016-2017 campaign to watch the Spurs. Are you excited that Manu Ginobili is returning to the Spurs?
