Minnesota Timberwolves might trade Ricky Rubio to the San Antonio Spurs
Ricky Rubio could be the San Antonio Spurs point-guard of the future.

The San Antonio Spurs could make a trade for Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio Sports Illustrated writer Jeremy Woods reported that Ricky Rubio's best fit would be with the San Antonio Spurs. I think that could be a interesting move by the San Antonio Spurs if they can acquire Ricky Rubio. My only concern is Ricky Rubio's has health concerns with his knees. The other problem with Ricky Rubio is he struggles with jump shooting. Ricky Rubio might improve if he is willing to put in the work.
Ricky Rubio is a fantastic play-maker when he is healthy and he is excellent at passing. Ricky Rubio is also very solid on defensive end for a point guard. I think he would fit in nicely with the San Antonio Spurs system that they run very efficiently. I also like that the move would take pressure off of Tony Parker. I think having Ricky Rubio would make Tony Parker even better. Tony Parker would be excellent with the San Antonio Spurs second unit.
I would be pretty happy if the San Antonio Spurs landed Ricky Rubio despite the concerns. I would love to the Spurs add one more point-guard and center to the roster before the season begins. I am not sure if the Minnesota Timberwolves will trade Ricky Rubio. I do think the San Antonio Spurs can create a very interesting package that the Timberwolves should consider. I will be watching this rumor very closely. What do you think should the Spurs trade for Ricky Rubio?
