Week 3's Studs and Duds

This has to be a weirdest fantasy week ever.

Thursday:

I think Bill Belichick can make me into a NFL QB. The Texans were supposed to be able to steamroll a 3rd string QB, but instead flopped. The running game was there but Brock Osweiler is not accurate enough to win the game through the air.

Takeaways: Keep Blount in your lineup. He has been the Patriot offense. Hopkins will bounce back and Lamar Miller will continue to be the bulk of the offense when the QB can’t get it done, which will happen more often than not.

Sunday:

Arizona ran into a wall and that wall was made in Buffalo. David Johnson was still able to come through with 2 touchdowns and not to mention Shady lit it up too with his own pair of TDs. QBs were just awful, like Carson Palmer, Jameis Winston, and Ryan Fitzpatrick (7 INTs). The always reliable Jet receivers disappeared and Kelvin Benjamin didn’t even record a catch. There were some bright spots and surprises, like Jeremy Hill rushing for 2 TDs, Aaron Rodgers looked like Aaron Rodgers, and Terrelle Pryor seems to be a pro at every position.

Takeaways: Like I’ve always said, the studs will bounce back. But make sure you look like at backups such as Jordan Howard or Christine Michael. And if there was ever a time to sell draft busts, it’s now, because no one is going to want your garbage come week 4 and beyond.

Monday:

What a shootout this was, which makes for great fantasy plays. Mark Ingram finally got on the board with a receiving TD and Coby Fleener has got the connection down with Brees as long as Snead is out. On the other side, Julio Jones decided to the night off while the duo of Coleman and Freeman feasted for 4 TDs and over 200 yards combined.

Takeaways: Matt Ryan looks legit and the NFC south looks ripe with fantasy points this year. If you see any of the teams matched up, start anyone with confidence.

Waiver Looks: RB Jordan Howard, WR Terrelle Pryor, QB Matt Ryan, RB Christine Michael (probably too late)

Thanks for reading The Scoop and have a nice day :)
