Week 5's Studs and Duds

Thursday:

Need I say more than just KEEP LARRY FITZGERALD AND DAVID JOHNSON IN YOUR LINEUP. They combined for 4 touchdowns. Oh, and Carlos Hyde showed up as well with over a 100 combined yards and a TD.

Takeaways: We’d seen spurts, but it was only a matter of time before Johnson caught fire. The Arizona offense finally looks competent again. While the Niners seem to ride Hyde no matter what the game outlook is. Continue to ride him as well.

Sunday:

The Steelers showed their high octane offense could not be stopped and it was nice surprise to see Sammie Coates get 2 TDs, even with Antonio Brown getting his own. And while the king is back, Tom Brady can’t get the ball to everyone as seen by Edelman’s poor day and Gronk’s TD-less game (thanks Martellus). You also drafted Lamar Miller to be your RB1, but Brock Osweiler decides to stagnate the offense and hurts every skilled position. And finally, we all can agree that Zeke should continue to eat.

Takeaways: For the most part, everyone did their jobs. The studs were studs and the duds were duds. We just don’t like when a stud (Julio Jones) runs into a bad matchup, but hey you win some and you lose some.

Monday:

Roberto Aguayo is back to saving Jameis Winston and it’s actually nice to see. The Panthers are lost and the only upside to their team are Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen. The NFC South will most likely be decided by a game like this.

Takeaways: I would expect Cam Newton to miss another game, so you might see a fall in production from Benjamin. The worst of Jameis’ schedule is behind him, so it will be intriguing if his overall level of play rises.
