Week 6's Studs and Duds

Thursday:

Neither team really got the ball moving. But it is good to see the Chargers are capable of pulling out a victory. And as far as the Broncos go, the defense is the only thing keeping them alive.Their pedestrian QB situation will hurt the offense.

Takeaways: CJ Anderson, Demaryius Thomas, and Emmanuel Sanders are all going to be hard to trust throughout the season, so if other players have better matchups, I’d suggest subbing them in. And continue to enjoy the consistency of Melvin Gordon.

Sunday:

Odell finally had his breakout game with a pair of TDs and 222 yards and same goes with Terrance West, who is looking like a steal right now. The Panthers and Saints had their yearly shootout with both Brees and Newton combining for 7 TDs. Cowboys vs. Packers? Eat Zeke Eat (174 yards). But the ugly was very ugly. Antonio Brown amassed only 45 yards, Allen Robinson only 49, and Isaiah Crowell with 36. Last but not least, Case Keenum showed competence at the QB position (4 TDs). I wasted my time writing that.

Takeaways: It feels good when a stud gets back in the groove and OBJ’s slump is behind him. Make sure you get a piece of the Saints offense. All of the receivers can be considered as flex options. And please erase the thought of Case Keenum ever being good.

Monday:

Ahh David Johnson. Just rolls off the tongue doesn’t it? The man’s a beast nothing else needs to be said. While the Jets have a ton of question marks that won’t be solved anytime soon.

Takeaways: I expect the air attack to get better with Arizona, but don’t rely on their receivers. And the Jets are just lost which hurts Brandon Marshall’s stock.
