The Undertaker should manage before ending his career

The Undertaker is expected to return to Smackdown Live later this month to celebrated the 900th episode of the show heading into this year’s Survivor Series. The Undertaker has not been seen on WWE Television since his Wrestlemania 32 match with Shane McMahon earlier this year.

The Undertaker was suggesting the match with Shane was his final match, though Undertaker has said this in the past though with recent reports of surgery it could be that this time it is true. So what next for The Undertaker? In a previous blog it was suggested he should manage The Ascension, an up and coming Tag Team that before they made their main roster debut had a dark gimmick.

Upon making their Main Roster debuts The Ascension has since changed their gimmick to a gimmick that strikes a massive similarity to that of The Road Warriors and Demolition. Since their debut on the main roster the Tag Team have failed to really make an impact.

They have been left to flounder a bit, and have been without much direction, as The Undertaker winds down, it should be that he can take control of these men and drive them forward. It could be that Bray Wyatt another man without much direction could be pushed toward a stable with them.

Bray Wyatt even though he has been feuding with Randy Orton needs to be re-created and pushed towards stardom. The WWE have been close to pulling the trigger on him but have not had the guts to pull it and he has been left without a direction.

The Undertaker’s Ministry of Darkness could be that stable to create these men again, giving The Undertaker a brand new lease on life and a new career direction before he finally retires for good.

The Undertaker still has drawing power, he also has microphone skills and the charisma to carry this stable even though Bray Wyatt himself has enough microphone skills to not need it. His addition to a Ministry of Darkness is to re-create him and make him ready to break through the glass ceiling to become the next main eventer for the WWE.

While The Ascension needs to go back to the gimmick they had pre-WWE Main Roster that made them successful in NXT, before Kenneth Cameron was replace by Ric Viktor. The WWE hyped them up a lot, but once they got onto the main roster they have not really been able to capitalize on their NXT and FCW momentum.

With the WWE now having the two brands, and the two different Tag Team Titles they are going to need to have teams battling for the gold. For The Ascension to be a serious contender for either of the belts they need someone to push them forward.

The WWE would also like to keep The Undertaker on TV, and squeeze every last bit of his popularity out before they send him off into the sunset and possible Hall of Fame honours in the future.

The Undertaker needs a non-wrestling role, and the head of another dark stable could just be that role for him. The WWE could also use this stable to do something with other roster members that are currently struggling to make a name for themselves.

It could also be a chance to wind down the career of Kane as he looks at life post-WWE in ring competition as well. In recent times he has been wrestling less and less, and the WWE have changed him back and forth for awhile now.

The WWE could also use this stable as a way to create an alternative to the Undertaker/Kane feuds of the past and have them create two different stables. In this they would square off as mouth pieces only and not in ring competitors.

A final showdown could be a good way to see of both men who have had vastly different success in the WWE but both have had great careers, careers that are living on borrowed time. It’s time for the WWE to start to look at finding some ways to build up some of these guys, and with two guys who are very good on the microphone it could be that they could do what Paul Bearer did for them and other managers before him.
