Lets Not Worry, For the Cavs Will Come

If you're a Cleveland sports fan, life MAY be pretty rough right now. The Indians we're knocked out of the MLB World Series chase, the Browns are continuing to be the Browns, and the Cavs are very underwhelming to start the season, but lets not worry, the Cavs are okay. The Cavs obviously haven't met expectations, but there are very valid reasons for that. The Cavs are still coasting to the NBA Finals. They will be fine.

The Cavs are looking OKAY lately. Nothing they've shown us has been eye-opening in a good way, but not necessarily a bad way either. Yes, the Cavs are struggling to play defense, and that's tough to see. Defense is a totally mental game. I'm a strong believer that defense is all in the mind, and just being in the right mindset can transform your game to new levels. So that's a good thing for the Cavs, in fact they show us every year that the regular season is nothing but fun and games, but when it comes down to the playoffs, everyone seems to step it up, turn it up a few notches. The defense will come. This team is worried about clicking offensively, finding who can be a tertiary scorer to LeBron and soon-to-be scorer Isaiah Thomas.

The Cavs are in no way shape or form a mediocre team. They simply have to much talent to be mediocre. This team is viewed as an old team, but a VETERAN team. Veteran is the key word, they have Veterans like D-Wade, Channing Frye, Jae Crowder, Jeff Green, and Derrick Rose. They have a super star talent in Kevin Love who has been playing so well as of late, Tristan Thompson, who all he needs to do is rebound the ball, which he hasn't done at all this season, but let's hope that is because of his injury. JR Smith has been hot, Korver has closed out every 4th quarter, and the youngsters Zizic and Osman have played well in their limited minutes. Oh yeah, and they have LeBron fucking James.

When Isaiah comes back, the Cavs will have that secondary scoring threat the Cavs desperately need. Thomas seems to be heading in the right directions. Reports saying Thomas has been practicing with full contact. Thomas says he is in a great spot, and can't wait to get out on the floor. And I'm just going to say, Thomas has been so inspirational to young Ohioans. Through his social media, though his documentary The Book of Isaiah, Thomas has shown nothing but hardworking and determination. That's what the city needs right now. Thomas is going to be scary, he's going to be out for vengeance and the NBA needs to be ready.

So even though the Cavs seem like they're struggling, all shall not worry. The Cavs are still trying to gel as a completely new team. Cleveland is going to be rocking in 2018. The Indians will be back at it with their loaded roster, the Cavaliers will be ready to take the Celtics head on, and well the Browns, they will probably have the first pick again. There's a lot to be excited for right now and Cleveland you will not be disappointed.
