Attempting to reach the .500 mark for the first time since they were 2-2 in early November the Miami Heat got torched by Portland's All-star guard Damian Lillard who went off for a season-high 49 points, matching a career high with nine three pointers.

Coming into Sundays tilt the Heat had won 15 of its last 16 games at home since Jan. 1. Curiously, Miami is now 0-6 on Sundays.

Without Dion Waiters who is out with a sprained left ankle the Heat struggled from the field shooting an abysmal 29% from three-point range and were outmuscled in the paint losing the rebounding edge.

It was an odd night for Hassan Whiteside, he started the game red hot scoring 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the first half but had just one point and five fouls in the second.

The Heat are now in 9th place in the eastern conference and a game and a half behind the six seed Indiana Pacers.
