NFC Least

NFC Least

The NFC East is easily one of the weakest divisions nowadays. But, that doesn't change the fact that there's a playoff berth waiting for the winner of the division. Here's my team-by-team analysis.

Dallas Cowboys Last Season (8-8)

2014-2015 Projection (8-8)

Come on, did you really think I would project them to go any higher or lower? The Dallas Cowboys will continue their tradition of mediocrity. Sure, their new and improved offensive line will save Tony Romo from taking too many hits and prevent him from injury. But, at the same time, the Cowboys lost Demarcus Ware to the Broncos and OLB Sean Lee to injury. If you consider the key losses and additions it pretty much evens them out thus keeping them at (8-8) for the 4th straight season and hopefully putting them in the Wild Card picture.

Philadelphia Eagles Last Season (10-6)

2014-2015 Projection (9-7)

Despite losing key offensive piece Desean Jackson and signing a terrible quarterback in Mark Sanchez the Eagles have done a whole lot of nothing this offseason. Chip Kelly continues to implement his signature fast-tempo offense. Look for Jeremy Maclin to get loads of balls thrown his way. Nick Foles will have another fantastic season with the addition of former Stanford TE Zach Ertz. The Eagles will by no means be good this season but they'll be good enough. I expect them to beat out the Cowboys for the number one seed in the division.

New York Giants Last Season (7-9)

2014-2015 Projection (7-9)

The New York Giants had a great draft filling much needed gaps at the WR and RB positions. Former Boston College RB Andre Williams will have tremendous success in this offensive system and will keep Eli from dropping back so much. Coming off one of his worst seasons ever, Eli will have a much better season with WR Odell Beckham Jr. out of LSU giving him a strong target. Tom Coughlin will once again remain on the hot seat as the Giants finish 3rd in this division.

Washington Redskins Last Season (3-13)

2014-2015 Projection (4-12)

No matter what happens, this season will be a very telling one for the Washington Redskins and RG3. This will either make or break RG3's NFL Future. Unfortunately, the result won't turn in RG3's favor. I've been saying it all along I simply don't think the non-traditional running QB works in the NFL. The Pro-style offense is a much safer way to go because you are less prone to injuries. Johnny Manziel will suffer the same problems that RG3 has; missed games due to injury. Both Johnny and RG3 were able to get away with running circles around Defensive Lineman because their much quicker than them. But in the NFL the D-lineman are much quicker which leads to the QB being smashed. As far as the Redskins future goes, I think they'll have to find a new QB. This season won't be a successful one and Washington will have to make big changes. Former Baylor RB Lache Seastrunk will ease the load off of RG3 but it won't be enough. The Redskins will finish last in a very weak NFC East.

In conclusion, this season will continue with the same pattern it has been on for the last couple years; mediocrity.
