Former Marshall star signed by Colts

Former Marshall Football star Alex Bazzie has signed a deal with the Indianapolis Colts according to the defensive end's Twitter account

Bazzie who played with the Thundering Herd from 2010 to 2013 has spent the last three seasons in the Canadian Football League where he became one of the league's most consistent pass rushers for the B.C. Lions. The Maryland product ranked fourth in the CFL in sacks in 2016 with 11, overall Bazzie racked up 29 sacks over the course of his time in British Columbia.

The details of his deal with the Colts is unknown at this time, however, this isn't Bazzie's first attempt to land on an NFL roster. After going undrafted in the 2014 NFL draft Bazzie got a tryout opportunity with the Cleveland Browns before ultimately heading north to the CFL.

Bazzie's journey from Marshall to Canada is detailed in an earlier Thunder in Paradise story, you can read that story by clicking here.
