Week 13 AFC Power Rankings

1. Oakland Raider 9-2 vs Buffalo

After another big win on Sunday the Raiders continue to show signs of being a legit Super Bowl contender. The defense stepped up in a big way on Sunday lead by Khalil Mack. They are in great position to win the division and have home field advantage in the AFC playoffs.

2. New England Patriots 9-2 vs Los Angles

The Patriots were able to come from behind and beat the Jets but have not looked like the clear cut juggernaut we thought they were early in the season. Brady throwing the ball 50 times is not the recipe for success and they will need more balance going forward. Be careful New England because Miami is coming.

3. Kansas City Chiefs 8-3 at Atlanta

The Chiefs went on the road and won a huge game in the division and after losing at home to the suddenly good Buccs this was a must win for Andy Reid and company. Teams are slowly climbing back in the wild card picture so every game counts from here on out.

4. Miami Dolphins 7-4 at Baltimore

Winners of 6 straight and by virtue of a better conf record the Dolphins would have the 6th and final playoff spot if the playoffs started this week. They are rolling and the running game and balance on offense has Tannehill playing extremely well.

5. Denver Broncos 7-4 at Jacksonville

A tough loss on Sunday that could be the difference between them in the playoffs and on the outside looking in. They only lose close as their average margin is 7 points which is one possession.

6. San Diego Chargers 5-6 vs Tampa

Much like the Broncos the Chargers have been in every game losing by and average of 5 points per game. 4 of the 6 losses were on the road and they are 4-2 in their last six games.

7. Buffalo Bills 6-5 at Oakland

The Bills have to start beating teams in contention as they only have one win vs a team with a winning record and that was against the Bradyless Patriots. A win this week and they will be taken seriously.

8. Houston Texans 6-5 at Green Bay

They were undefeated at home before last week and are headed in the wrong direction with back-to-back losses. The turnovers are killing them and they have a favorable schedule down the stretch.

9. Tennessee Titans 6-6 Bye

They beat the Bears and now have a bye week. They are in great position to win the AFC South and make the playoffs. Mariota is playing better and better each week and looking to climb the quarterback tiers.

10. Pittsburgh Steelers 6-5 vs New York Giants

The offense has looked like the Steelers offense the last two weeks and have a challenge this week in the Giants. A win will make people stand up and start taking the Steelers seriously again.

11. Baltimore Ravens 6-5 vs Miami

There were some missed pass interference calls late in Sunday's game vs the Bengals that could have changed the outcome of the game but we cant hold that against them, right? Wrong, a team in first place simply by default doesn't mean they are good and the Ravens aren't good.

12. Indianapolis Colts 5-6 at New York Jets

Andrew Luck should be cleared to play Monday night and is needed because the Colts were starting to play well before his injury and they may have beaten the Steelers with him under center.

13. Cincinnati Bengals 3-7-1 vs Philadelphia

The injuries may be too much to overcome and make the playoffs now but even before the injuries this team was bad. It's hard to fire a coach when he is winning but now he isn't so this is the perfect opportunity.

14. New York Jets 3-8 vs Indianapolis

They were in great position to win vs the Patriots and had their best unit, the defense, on the field to make one last stop but was unable to. At 3-8 Todd Bowles and company are sticking with Fitzpatrick under center but why?

15. Jacksonville Jaguars 2-9 vs Denver

They have the talent and ability to play playoff spoilers down the stretch and it starts with Denver coming to town this week.

16. Cleveland Browns 0-12 Bye

When is the draft combine again?
