Bottom Sixth Inning: After getting two outs, Chris Rusin comes into the game to relieve Rockies starter Kyle Freeland. Reds get three runs back on a two-run home run from Votto and a solo home run from Scott Schebler.

Bottom Seventh Inning: After two outs, Rockies go with a double switch as Adam Ottavino comes into the game to relieve Rusin and Alexi Amarista comes into the game as a defensive replacement for Valaika. Despite allowing a leadoff double, the Rockies don't allow a run.

Top Eighth Inning: Blake Wood comes into the game to relieve Stephenson who was pinch hit for in the bottom of the seventh inning. Wood throws a scoreless eighth inning.
