Miami Heat: First place

The Miami Heat were off to a slow start at the beginning of the season, but have started to play well as of late. Currently the Heat went on a seven game winning streak. Beating Orlando, Detroit, New York, Utah, Toronto, Indiana and Milwaukee.

The Miami Heat are currently first in the South Eastern Conference, and are the fourth seed sitting behind Cleveland by only one game. With a record of 26 and 19 the Heat look to add to the win column by facing a below .500 Charlotte Hornets team tonight.

Even though the Hornets don't have the best record, they're still a competitive team and one the Heat should not take lightly. Recently the Heat lost to another bad Chicago Bulls team. Part of the problem is the Heat likes to play down to its competition.

Kemba Walker will be the player to look for as he is averaging 21.7 points per game and is always a threat. The other player the Heat will need to pay special attention to is Dwight Howard who averages 15.5 points per game.

The Heat are on a good path to making the playoffs and should continue to do what they've been doing. Which is winning tough physical games, keep playing to their potential, and not playing to their competition.
