Week Five NFL Power Rankings

Number 1: Denver Broncos: 4-0 and playing as good a defense as they did last year they're still the team to beat in the AFC.

Number 2: New England Patriots: At 3-1 and with Tom Brady returning this team definitely has a lot of upside for the future.

Number 3: Minnesota Vikings: Playing great defense much like Denver and Sam Bradford playing well this team is the team to beat in the NFC.

James Lang-USA TODAY Sports

Number 4: Philadelphia Eagles: Also undefeated at 3-0 this team is flying high with Carson Wentz their rookie quarterback.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Number 5: Pittsburgh Steelers: Mainly because they lost to the Eagles are they at five but at 3-1 this team is dangerously good.

William Hauser-USA TODAY Sports

Number 6: Seattle Seahawks: With the bye this week Russell Wilson needs the rest after suffering some injuries, but at 3-1 this team is a good potential playoff team.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Number 7: Green Bay Packers: They would be higher, but since they had a bye and are 2-1 see how they do against New York and where they are ranked after that.

Number 8: Oakland Raiders: After beating the undefeated Ravens by one this team is definitely in the top ten at three and one and looks like more of a playoff team every game.

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Number 9: Baltimore Ravens: Sitting at 3-1 this team takes on the Washington Redskins and are tied with Pittsburgh for first in their division.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Number 10: Houston Texans 3-1: Definitely a very good team even without J.J. Watt, they still have a good offense and their defense is still good overall.

Number 11: Dallas Cowboys: Just outside the top ten could probably be up there but there wasn't enough room for all the 3-1 teams if Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot keep lighting it up this team should be a playoff team for sure.

Number 12: Atlanta Falcons: At 3-1 this team started hot in previous years just to lose a lot of games and not make the playoffs see if they can keep it up or if they just die at the end of the season.

Number 13: L.A. Rams: Also 3-1 the rams are a surprise team this year and are definitely looking more and more like a potential playoff team in the NFC west.

Number 14: Buffalo Bills: Sitting at 2-2 and second in the division this team has a good enough defense too compete with team, now if they're offense can get things together this team might compete with New England to win the division.

Number 15: Kansas City Chiefs: Also at 2-2 Kansas City is competing with Denver and Oakland for the division. They could be a potential wildcard team, but would need to beat Oakland to be in the hunt.

Number 16: Cincinnati Bengals: Andy Dalton and AJ Green lit it up against Miami and look to improve on their 2-2 record against the Cowboys.

Number 17: Washington Redskins: Sitting at 2-2 this team is last in the division but isn't far from Giants who are 2-2 Dallas 3-1 and Eagles 3-0.

Number 18: New York Giants: Also at 2-2 this team is in the hunt for the division as they face the Green Bay Packers this week.

Number 19: Indianapolis Colts: Probably the best 1-3 team even with twelve other teams being this record the Colts still have a lot of talent and can turn things around in their not so great division.

Number 20: Jacksonville Jaguars: Like the Colts this team was considered a potential playoff team, at 1-3 their hopes aren't too high, but like the Colts they have a weaker division and might be able to turn things around.

Number 21: Carolina Panthers: Last years NFC champions are now in the fight for their lives at 1-3. However with a week division and only the Falcons to worry about this team could definitely mount a comeback to keep their playoff hopes a live.

Number 22: Arizona Cardinals: This team lost to the Panthers in the NFC Championship game but are also 1-3 and are in a very dangerous spot to make a playoff push in a good NFC West division.

Number 23: New York Jets: This team was expected to be a lot better than their current 1-3 record. This team will have to claw for a playoff spots given their in the same division as the 3-1 Patriots and 2-2 Bills.

Number 24: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Like Jacksonville this team was supposed to be better this year so far not so good.

Number 25: New Orleans Saints: Beating the Chargers this team is still 1-3 but is ranked this low because of their terrible record and playing awful defense.

Number 26:  San Diego Chargers: Barely losing to the Saints this team has lost a lot of close games most due to the lack of personnel on their depth chart.

Number 27: San Francisco 49ers: This team has played some tight games, but just can't seem to get the job done and with their 1-3 record playoffs definitely don't seem likely for this lackluster team.

Number 28: Chicago Bears: At 1-3 this team is hurt on every side of the ball even after a win against Detroit this team is awful.

Number 29: Detroit Lions: Losing to the Bears was probably the worst thing this team could have done, definitely one of the worst teams in the league.

Number 30: Miami Dolphins: Dropping from twenty eight this team is definitely one of the worst in the league and needs to change something fast.

Number 31: Tennessee Titans: This team plays the Dolphins this week and is right where they should be ranked almost last.

Number 32: Cleveland Browns: The only team without a win this season it looks like they'll get another loss against the Patriots poor poor Browns.
